Due to public concern with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
in schools, we are sending you educational materials, recommendations
for preventing MRSA in schools and handouts that can be printed out and
distributed (see the attachments). The first attachment provides
guidance to school administrators and the other two are fliers in
English and in Spanish that are handouts for parents and students. You
are not required to distribute these fliers but they are being provided
as a resource.

The Arizona Department of Health Services' MRSA website
includes
links to the attached fliers, as well as includes a link to the CDC's
new web page about MRSA in Schools both in English and in Spanish. The
CDC page covers the topic in greater depth and includes many useful
links to educational materials, school toolkits, and additional
information.

If you have questions, please contact your local health department.

Thank you,

The Arizona Department of Health Services
