Board votes to continue Distance Learning for all students until November 16
On Sunday September 27, 2020, the School Board voted to continue distance learning for all students until November 16.
There are two important pieces of information which fed into the Board's decision to remain in distance learning mode until November 16:
As of September 27, the school meets the minimum criteria for safe opening in a Hybrid model.
At the last regular school board meeting, the School Board asked the school to conduct a short survey to get a feel for where parents stand on when to start their children in-person. We collected 139 responses from the survey, and the results were pretty evenly spread between starting on October 12, starting after the first quarter in November and starting after the first semester in late January.
With consideration of this information, keeping the safety of our students and staff in mind, and the Board voted to continue distance learning for all students until at least November 16.
